2009 Resolutions (1)

In addition =>

Plan all the things I want to do and have the plan/vision board in front of my eyes all the time (as a background maybe), so that I still remember the things I want to do.

2009 Resolutions

"I've got no time" is a myth invented by "Laziness"

I don't want to use the "I've got no time" phrase when I want to:
  • Start a new project.
  • Read a new book.
  • Travel.
  • Help --when needed.
  • Visit family relatives.
  • Pray more.
  • Go out.
  • Watch a movie.
  • Go to SPA.
  • ...

To "some" of the guys ...

*I love to read when I sit here*

Now, you guys should not try to talk to a girl if she didn't give you any sign that she's interested and if you did and she didn't give you a chance to talk then you should just leave her alone! I really don't wanna sound "daloo3a" because I'm not but I did freak out today, I know it did happen before but I don't want this to happen again in the future. don't tell me read in a cafe (I just don't like to read in a cafe).
  1. Am i wrong?
  2. Is it my mistake because I choose the wrong the place?
  3. Is the beach reserved for people looking for romance?
  4. Why can't we enjoy the lovely beaches we have?

LibraryThing

So after this post I have been comparing the three options I had: Goodreads, LibraryThing and Shelfari (suggested by Miss-Informed). I have read so many reviews (review 1, review 2 and more). I finally decided to stick with LibraryThing because they have features like "Tags" and "suggestions/recommendations". Since this morning, I have been adding the books I have in office and I started to like it even more. I can also export my library to "CSV" or "tab-delimited" format and then import it into my other accounts at Goodreads and Shelfari (didn't try it yet).

Palmistry - Head Line (1)

A Major line in Palmistry, represents how the person uses his or her brain. (the bold line in all pictures (mid line)).
  • A faint line shows that the person has mental ability that is not being used.
  • The longer the line, the more involved and detailed the person's thinking process will be. The short line indicates that the person thinks quickly, skims over the surface and is not interested into details.
  • In the first picture, a straight line that doesn't curve means that the person is practical, logical, down to earth and unimaginative.
  • In the second picture, a line that curves, indicates that the person will be imaginative and creative. the greater the curve, the more imaginative the person will be.
  • In the third picture, the fork at the end of the head line is known as the "Writer's fork" and shows that the person can come up with good ideas and make them practical.
  • In the fourth picture, the distinct bend at the end means that the person will have strong material needs.

  • In the fifth picture, if the head line touches the life line at the start, it denotes a cautious person who will think before acting.
  • In the sixth picture, the larger the gap between the two lines (head and life), the more outspoken, impulsive, and independent the person will be.

Palmistry - Heart Line (1)

The Heart Line is one of the three major lines in Palmistry. (the bold line in the pictures).

The first picture (straight + doesn't curve) => "Mental Line"
  • You find it hard to express your innermost feelings.
  • You need to be told frequently that you are loved and desired.
  • You are sensitive and easily hurt.
The second picture (Curves) => "Physical Line"
  • You find it easy to express your innermost feelings.
  • You express yourself in a confident and assertive manner.
  • When things go wrong, you pick yourself up quickly and carry on with your life.
The third picture: The Ending position of the Heart Line:

First Finger:

  • Overly idealistic.
  • Is likely to feel let down and disappointed by actions of other people.
Second Finger:
  • Concerned only with your own needs.
  • Doesn't have much interest in the need of others.
  • Lack of emotional involvement.
Between the first and the second finger:
  • Balanced between idealism and selfishness.

More Posters ...

I found these posters while searching Google Product Search.

Paperless (3) - Microsoft OneNote

If you have a weak memory and you tend to forget the tasks that you need to focus on, give Microsoft OneNote a shot. You can have multiple notebooks, in each notebook you can have sections and in each section you can have pages. You have the option of inserting date/time, tags, pictures, audio and video, you can also sync it with outlook. I've been using it for 2 days now and i like it! I'm sure there are more things I haven't discover yet.

I have created a notebook for my projects so I can keep track of the changes I'm making and later on convert my notes into a decent documentation.

If you are a student you can use it too to store lecture notes if any, research notes, ideas, thoughts, important articles ... etc.

Your Sleep-Wake Cycle

Have you ever asked yourself "Is the '24-hour cycle' enough for me to sleep and wake up without feeling tired?" or "Can you sleep at a specific hour and wake up at a specific hour everyday without feeling tired?"

It turns out that most people have a regular "24.9-hour" cycle and not 24!

Scientists have done several experiments, in one of them they kept a man in cave without sun light for months. His sleep-wake cycle was a very regular 24.9-hour. he was waking up everyday nearly an hour later.

Another interesting case was a young woman who was kept for 25 days. She shifted to a 30-hour cycle and felt well and relaxed!

At first scientists thought that it's because in the past the earth used to spin slower but it turned out that the earth used to spin even faster!

Something to note here is that the sleep-wake cycle is something that we are born with and which is biologically determined.
